A total of 20,510
households from Aklan’s 15 municipalities will be receiving this month of
August their cash grants for May and June under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino
Program (4Ps).
For the period, a total of P31,530,300.00 will be released over the counter to
the beneficiaries, according to Department of Social Welfare and Development
(DSWD) 6 Regional Director Minda Brigoli in her letter to Aklan Governor
Carlito S. Marquez.
Director Brigoli said the DSWD will be releasing the cash grants together with
the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) starting today, August 3 up to August
30.
The over-the-counter cash release will mostly be held in the 15 town’s
municipal gyms except for Malinao, which will conduct sash releases on site.
Of the 15 towns, Ibajay has the biggest number of grantees with 2,370, who will
be receiving a total of P3,652,300 followed by Libacao, with 2,120
beneficiaries and P3,202,200 cash grants; New Washington, 1,953 beneficiaries
and P2,940,300 cash grants; Batan, 1,780 grantees and P2,709 cash and Balete,
1,242 and P2,651,700 cash grants.
Other municipalities with their number of beneficiaries and cash grants include
Nabas, 1,140 grantees and P2,250,800 cash grants; Banga, 1,486 grantees and
P2,225,600 cash grants; Malay, 1,359 grantees with P2,110,000; Madalag, 1,300 grantees
and P1,985,900 cash grants; Tangalan, 1,198 grantees and P1,821,600 cash;
Altavas, 1,242 and P1,765,500 cash; Buruanga, 847 grantees and P1,277,200 cash
and Lezo, 554 grantees and P713,900 cash.
The town of Malinao, with only 9 grantees for the over-the-counter release,
will be receiving a total of P13,500 for the period.
Presently, Kalibo and Numancia are the only remaining towns in Aklan not
